About Glowworms | Background | Contact

The Glowworms Education Foundation was created to address the limited educational opportunities existing in many public schools, often resulting from shortfalls in government funding. The central belief at Glowworms is that student success is directly related to robust educational curricula, including core courses such as reading, math, and science, as well as experience in areas such as physical education, music, and art. Similarly, strong school services such as guidance counseling, tutoring, libraries, and community and parent involvement programs are essential to create an environment in which students can best learn and grow.

     Mission

The Glowworms Education Foundation raises funds for programs in public schools that establish a broad base of educational activities for students, provide student support services, or facilitate parent and community involvement in public schools.

The Glowworms Education Foundation targets schools with financial constraints whose students are performing below average relative to state and national standards. We support the development of well-rounded students and aim to provide diverse educational opportunities that also contribute to higher performance in basic academic courses.
